Obituary of Amedee Fougere

Fougere, Amedee Lawrence, 95, Janvrin's Harbour, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2006 at his residence in the Richmond Villa, St Peter's, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Janvrin's Harbour, he was the son of the late Joseph and Anastasia (Drinkwater) Fougere. He was a Fish Cutter for 22 years being employed with Logies Fish Plant, in Mulgrave. He worked as a carpenter for twenty five years. He also enjoyed going in the woods with his ATV and his power saw to cut his fire wood, well into his nineties. He was a member of the Janvrin's Harbour Club 55. He is the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is survived by his daughters, Pauline David (Kenny) Janvrin's Harbour, Pam Richard (Ernest) Poulamon; sons, Lawrence (Gwen),Port Hawkesbury, Paul (Lana), New Glasgow, Albert , Edmonton, Alb.; twelve grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his loving wife the former Mary Corinne Melanson, sisters, Mae, Martha, Margaret, Elizabeth, Stella, Edna, Lillian,; brothers, Joseph, William, Ralph, Bennie. Remains are resting in the C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home, Arichat with visitation on Friday January 13th from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. and on Saturday morning from 9-10:30. Mass of Christian Burial to Celebrate the life of Amedee will be held, in the Immaculate Conception Church in West Arichat Saturday morning at 11:00 with Rev. Bruno Ruel officiating. Burial to follow in the Immaculate Conception Parish Cemetery, West Arichat. Family flowers only please.
