O'Toole "Mellen" Donna,37 - It is with great sadness that we the family, have to announce the sudden passing of Donna, of Chapel Island, which occurred Saturday, August 26, 2006 at St. Martha's Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Born in Boston, Mass., January 23, 1969, she was the daughter of Mary Carmel Mellen, Chapel Island and the late Ralph Mellen. Donna Liked to decorate, going to fishing derbies, Karoke, bowling, camping and being with friends. She is survived by her husband, Ernest (Wawwa) O'Toole; daughter Susan and sons, E.J. and Tristen; her sisters Mary Mellen, Tracey Mellen; brothers, John (Carmen) Mellen, Tom Mellen and Joseph Mellen, Jason Mellen,; Uncles George (Annie) Paul and Robert Mellen; Aunties Mary Ann (Murray) Marshall; Theresa (Ralph) Wade, Mary Russell, Elaine Mellen, June Howelt, Lois Mellen. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends; Godchildren, Bethany, Kendall, Jane Rielly and Roger John; God parents, June Mellen and Billy Grogean. Besides her father she was predeceased by her grandparents, Isabel and Frank Paul and Walter and Irene Mellen; Uncles, Frank Joe, Andrew Joe, Casey Paul, Walter Mellen and John Mellen; Aunt Evelyn Joe. Visitation will begin today after 3:00pm until 10:30 Thursday morning at the Mellen's residence at 20 Mountain Rd., in Chapel Island. A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate the life of Donna will be held at St. Peter's Catholic Church, St. Peter's at 11:00am on Thursday morning, August 31, 2006, with Rev. Everett MacDow officiating. Burial to follow in the Immaculate Conception Parish Cemetery, Barrahead. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home Limited in Arichat.
