Obituary of Mary Rosanna Marchand

MARCHAND, Mary Rosanna "Rose"�" 89, Louisdale. It is with great sadness the family regrets to announce the loss of our dear Mother, Grandmother and Great-grandmother, who passed away peacefully on February 18, 2007, at the Strait Richmond Hospital in Evanston, with her loving family by her side. Born in Little Anse, Richmond County on July 3, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Alex and Mederise (Samson) Boudreau. Rose was a member of St. Louis C.W.L., and was actively involved in the Co-operative Movement, Fleur De Lis Seniors Club, and also a past member of the Louisdale Fire Department Ladies Auxillary. She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Arthur W. Sr.; daughter, Muriel (Joe) Martell, with whom she resided; sons, Wilfred (Claire), Arthur Jr. (Edna) all of Louisdale; brother, Albany (Theresa), Louisdale; She lovingly cherished her grandchildren, Gerard (Madelyn), Wanda (Freddie), Fonda (Jeff), Ken (Terri) Terry (Blair), Joey (Cathy), Shelley (Serge), Kelly (Paula), Barry (Tracey). She had wonderful joy in her 15 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister, Mary Boudreau; brothers, William and Joseph Boudreau. Visitation will be held today from 2-4 & 7-9pm in the Glen Sampson Memorial Room in Louisdale. Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate the life of Rose, will be held Wednesday morning at 11am in St. Louis Catholic Church in Louisdale with Rev. Gary MacPherson officiating. Burial to take place at a later date, in St Louis Parish Cemetery, Louisdale. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Strait Richmond Palliative Care Society or to St. Louis Parish Cemetery Fund.
