Obituary of Edward James Starkey

STARKEY, Edward James "Ted"�" 74, West Arichat, passed away peacefully at his home, on April 15, 2007. Born in Toronto, Ontario, he was the son of the late Walter and Jean (Burling) Starkey. Ted was a former employee of Stora Forest Industries for 32 years he was a member of the Lawrence Kavanaugh Council 4607, West Arichat, the Immaculate Conception Parish Council, West Arichat Community Hall and was a life time member of the Isle Madame Branch 150 of the Royal Canadian Legion. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Nancy Mary (Babin) Starkey; daughter, Connie Boudreau (Andre), Hatchetts Lake; sons, Terry (Wanda), Dartmouth, Dennis (Vivian), Pictou, Ronnie (Debbie) Porters Lake, Dean (Danielle) West Arichat; sister, Barbara Hopps (Vern), Cambridge, Ont.; brother, Ron (Terri), Ottawa; twelve grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister Shirley; brother, Bill; sister- n- law Gwen, brother- n- law, Don. Visitation will be in the C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home in Arichat on Wednesday from 6-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place Thursday morning at 11am in the Immaculate Conception Church in West Arichat, with Rev. Duaine Devereaux officiating; burial to follow in the Immaculate Conception Parish Cemetery, West Arichat. Family flowers only please. Memorial donations in memory of Ted can be made to the Strait Richmond Palliative Care Society. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the C.H. Boudreau Funeral home in Arichat.
