Obituary of Aimee Lee Burns

BURNS, Aimee Lee — 28, Lennox Passage, passed away suddenly as the result of a motor vehicle accident on June 22, 2010, in Lennox Passage. Born December 31, 1981, in Antigonish she was the daughter of Emily (Matthews) Burns and Lloyd Burns (Sharon) of Louisdale. Aimee was employed by Minacs, Port Hawkesbury, she was an avid hockey player and the biggest Toronto Maple Leafs fan ever; Aimee will be sadly missed by everyone who had the opportunity to know her and to see her lovely smile. In her 28 years of life she touched many lives with her kindness and loving ways. Aimee is survived by her brother, Christopher (Chris), Louisdale; step-brother, Ian (Robin), New Brunswick; step-sister, Mandy (Oddie), Halifax; paternal grandparents, Willie and Kay Burns, Louisdale. chosen brother, Isaac Matthews of Ottawa; chosen Moms, Number Two, Judy(Aunt), Sydney; Number Three, Ruth (Aunt) Louisdale; and Number Four, Sharon Felix (stepmom), Louisdale; chosen Dad, George Mazur; and chosen brother, Evan, Sydney; very, very special friend, Karen Perry; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins who all thought the world of her. She will be sadly missed by her loving Baby Cat, Piglet. Aimee was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Frank and Hilda Matthews. Visitation will be held Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Glen Sampson Room, Louisdale. Mass of Christian Farewell will be held in St. Louis Church in Louisdale on Saturday, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Angus MacDougal officiating. Burial at a later date in Black River United Church Cemetery, Dundee. Memorial donations can be made to charity of choice. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to C.H.
