Richard Joseph Gaston — 75, Arichat, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2010 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born in Arichat on September 13, 1934 he was the son of the late Paul and Evangeline (Boucher) Richard. He worked for Irving Oil for 25 years. He was a dialysis patient for 14 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years Mary Madonna (Dorey) Richard, daughter Anne Martell (Lloyd), Little Anse sons Wilfred, Ronnie(Lynn), step-son Michael(Lillie Jane) Dorey all of Arichat Grandchildren Noreen, Shelly, Brittany and Fabian Great Grand-child Layla Debbie-Anne Dorey Brother Clifford (Pauline) Arichat, and many nieces and nephews He was predeceased by brothers Alfred, Paul Jr. (Dan), Wallen and in infancy Wilfred and Omer. There will be no visitation Mass of Christian Farewell will be held in Our Lady of Assumption Church in Arichat on Tuesday, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Angus MacDougall officiating. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Assumption Cemetery, Arichat. Memorial donations can be made to Kidney Foundation of Nova Scotia or Charity of Choice. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to C.H.
