Obituary of Arthur Joseph Boudreau

BOUDREAU, Joseph Arthur - 84, Cape Auguet, passed away September 29, 2010 at Halifax Infirmary QE 11, Halifax. Born in Cape Auquet, he was the son of the late Albany and Martha (Gaudet) Boudreau. Arthur worked on the Lake Boats for over 36 years up until his retirement. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 150 Arichat, he loved a good game of cards along with a good can of Keith's. He will be missed also by his cat Puss Puss. He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Isabel Boudreau (Boudreau); daughter, Valerie Boudreau, Arichat; step-daughters, Ann Marie Boudreau, Little Anse, Barbara Samson (Elmer), Jean David (Cecil) both of Petit De Grat, Shirley Matthews, Grand Anse, Carlene Spice, Sydney; sons, Ron Boudreau, (Dallas) Canso, Doug Boudreau (Glenda) Creemore, Ont.; step-sons, Arthur Dewolf (Colleen), West Arichat, Ralph DeWolf ,Petit De Grat, Vincent Boudreau (Maria), Port Hawkesbury; grandchildren, Ryan, Amanda, Adam, Gregory, nine step-grandchildren; one great-grandchild, four step-great-grandchildren; sisters, Rita MacEachern, Antigonish ,Theresa Benoit (James) Arichat; brothers, Joseph A. ( Freda), Arichat, Amable, kentville, Agapie, West Arichat. He was predeceased by sisters, Mary , Rose, Alice; brothers, Elias, John, Clarence, Leo, Sylvester, Francis, and seven siblings in infancy. Visitation will be in C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home, Arichat on Friday from 2-9 pm. Mass of Christian Farewell will be held Saturday morning at 11 am in Our Lady of Assumption Church, Arichat with Rev. Duaine Devereaux officiating. Burial to follow in Our Lady of Assumption Parish Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of (NS) or charity of choice.
