Obituary of Wallace Charles Doiron

Doiron, Wallace Charles, 26, Grand Anse, passed away at his home on December 18, 2010. Born in Antigonish, he was the son of Ulysse John and Helma Karen (Gullickson) Doiron. Wallace loved his family and friends, music, his dog "Magic". Hot spicy food was his favourite, although all food was peppered, and don't forget his beer. He would lend a helping hand to everyone. Wallace was a true friend to all who had the opportunity to know him. He was here for a goodtime, not a long time. His famous saying was "Everything is 100% Waldo". Besides his parents, Wallace is survived by sister Naomi Knickle (Dan) Cole Harbour, brother, Joey (Carrie) Doiron and their children, Jock and Issiah, Jeddore; aunts, Olivia Benoit, Dorothy Cooper (Leo), both of Grand Anse, Sheila Tyrrell (Danny), West Arichat; uncles, Gary Gullickson (Margie) Bras d'or, Major Gullickson (Shirley), Sydney, Orville Gullickson (Roberta), Wareham, Mass., Jerry Doiron (Ann), Cape Auguet, Stanley, Mulgrave; great-aunts, Evangeline Bona, Anita Doiron both of Port Royal, Margaret Dolliver, Halifax, Margaret Doiron, Louisdale; godparents, Stacey Bartlett, West Gore and Stanley Doiron, Mulgrave; numerous cousins. He was predeceased by maternal grandparents James Charles and Georgina Sadie (Matthews) Gullickson; paternal grandparents, Wallace Joseph and Evangeline (Paupin) Doiron, aunt Claudette Waito, uncle Bobby Benoit and cousin Sheldon Benoit. Visitation will be held in the River Bourgeois Community Funeral Home, River Bourgeois on Tuesday from 2-9pm. Funeral will be held Wednesday morning at 11 am in the Immaculate Conception Church in West Arichat, with Rev. Duaine Devereaux officiating. Cremation to follow. Burial will be held in the Immaculate Conception Parish Cemetery West Arichat at a later date. Memorial donation can be made to a charity of choice.
