Meunier, Arthur Joseph, 96, of West Arichat, passed away at the Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston, on January 16, 2011. Born in West Arichat, Arthur was the son of the late Arthur Joseph and Catherine (Covin) Meunier. He is survived by daughters, Gladys Meunier, Mildred Meunier , Lorette Poirier, all of West Arichat, Marie Poirier, Kentucky; son, Bernard, West Arichat; grandchildren, Mark Meunier, Gary Poirier, both of West Arichat, John Poirier, Danny Poirier, both of Cheticamp, Joey Fiander, Bridgewater. Arthur is the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was predeceased by his wife the former Alice Forgeron; sisters, Blanche Forgeron, Hattie Marchand and Ida Meunier; grandson Lee Forgeron. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation by request. A Funeral Mass will be held in the Immaculate Conception Church, West Arichat, on Friday, January 21, 2011 at 11 am with Rev. Duaine Devereaux officiating. Burial in the Immaculate Conception Parish Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the Immaculate Conception Parish Cemetery Fund or to the Charity of Choice.
