Obituary of Mary Elise Samson

Samson (Boudreau), Marie Elise - 83, Petit de Grat, died peacefully at home after a lengthy battle with cancer. Born in Petit de Grat, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Rosanna ( Samson) Boudreau. In her early years she was employed at the VG Hospital in Halifax and St. Martha's in Antigonish. Years later she became an employee of Booth's Fisheries.
Elise is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, George; sons, Bobby (Brenda) Pondville, Elmer (Barbara) Petit de Grat, Barry, Petit de Grat and daughter Michelle, Arichat; grandsons, Dwayne (Krista) Halifax, Jamie, Truro, Codie, Arichat and Step-granddaughter Angela, Petit de Grat; one great grandson, Camden, Halifas sisters, Delima (Etienne) Louisdale, Melda, Petit de Grat, Lena (Lenny) Arichat; brothers, Remi, Arichat, Jeffrey (Rosaline) Petit de Grat; and adopted brother, Albert (Barbara). Halifax; sister-in-law, Peggy, Ontario. Several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two sons in infancy, brother Norris, Ontario, brother-in-law, Ceasar and sister-in-law Ida, both of Petit de Grat.
She will also be missed by her little dog and companion, Heidi.
Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Joseph's church, Petit de Grat on Saturday morning, February 26, 2011, at 11, officiated by Rev. Duaine Devereaux. Memorial donations in memory of Elise can be made to St. Anne's Community & Nursing Care Centre or Strait Richmond Palliative Care Society.
