Condolences
I remember when I was a little girl, some Saturday nights mom & dad (Anne & Leon) would go out to a dance and Aunt Jeanne & Uncle Joe would babysit me. Aunt Jeanne would usually go to bed early, but I'd stay up with Uncle Joe who would religiously watch Hockey Night in Canada. I used to fall asleep in the rocking chair and I'd be awakened with a jolt when his team scored a goal! Although he was mostly a quiet man, he also had a mischievous side and loved to trick or startle you (for example, you'd be sitting quietly beside him minding your own business and he'd grab your knee while making a loud "ha!" sound making you jump out of your skin).I also remember going out for family Sunday boat rides to l'Anse de Richard or Green Island in his fishing boat. So many good memories....Rest in peace, Uncle Joe! Hopefully you are now re-united with Aunt Jeanne. xoxo

I will always have fond memories of Joe. He built swing sets, Sleds snow forts and he made sure that the ponds were clear of snow to skate on for us kids in the wintertime. I have fond memories of him being on the Lake Boats in the 60's and, going on board when he was docked in Toronto Harbour. Isabel, Rudolph & I would go and see him and often had supper with him on board if he couldn't come to our house. I also have fond memories of him step dancing at dances with his brother Arthur down home.Joe, Jean & I Would go blueberry picking and had picnic in the woods when i would go home for holidays in the summertime. That was a lot of fun. He always had some wonderful stories to tell us about working on the lake boats, his fishing years down home, Jean & the kids and his grand kids. each time we went down there. We will miss you very dearly. Rest In Peace Joe.
Our thoughts and prayers are with your family Elaine, Dennis, Richard and Francis...May your dad rest in peace, he was a very quiet man but had lots of knowledge and dedication to his family.
