Obituary of Joseph Everett Dorey

Dorey, Joseph Everett "Chum", 80 - Janvrin's Harbour, passed away at his home in Janvrin's Harbour on May 29, 2011. Born in Janvrin's Harbour, he was a son of the late Arthur and Mary Lily (Gaudet) Dorey. "Chum" lived at home all his life and took excellent care of his Mother and Father during their declining years and he was very good to them. He owned and operated "Dorey's Grocery Store in Janvrin's Harbour for several years. He will be sadly missed by his brother, Gilbert (Ella), Janvrin's Harbour; sisters, Mabel Bellefontaine, Dartmouth and Christine Opdebeck (Neil), Halifax; his was better known at Uncle "Chum" to his many nieces and nephews. His dogs Suzie's will certainly miss him. He was predeceased by his brother Arthur and sister Lillian Pellerine. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at the Immaculate Conception Church in West Arichat on Saturday July 30, 2011 at 11 am with Rev. Will MacPherson officiating. Burial in the Immaculate Conception Parish Cemetery, West Arichat. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home, Arichat.
