Obituary of George William Clorey

Clorey George William, - 90, of West Arichat, passed away July 17, 2011 at Strait Richmond Hospital in Evanston Born in West Arichat, he was the son of the late William and Alma (Meunier) Clorey. George was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was a Vet in the Second World War and served in the Merchant Marines and the Royal Canadian Navy. He was a proud CN employee for 39 years. He enjoyed his frequent visits by his great grandchildren Zachary, Jacob and Megan and cherished their many drawings and crafts. He is survived by his son, Curtis (Mary), Vancouver, BC; daughters Sylvia Bourn, Minesville N.S., Carol Doucet (Wayne), Rose Surette, both of Bedford N.S., and Kathy Wilson (Gerald) Fall River N.S. Grandchildren George, John, Jason, Derrick, Stephen, Michael, Trevor, Nicole, Brian and many great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Estelle Clorey (Fougere); son Joseph Curtis in infancy, brother Francis and sons- in- law, Keith Bourn and Kevin Surette. Visitation will be held in C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home in Arichat on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held Thursday morning at 11 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Church in West Arichat, with Rev. Will MacPherson officiating. Burial to follow in the Immaculate Conception Parish Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to Lung Association of Nova Scotia or to the charity of one's choice.
