Obituary of Brian Collin Boudreau

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Brian Collin Boudreau, 28, of Arichat, who lost a valiant 9 year battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Born in Antigonish he was a son of Vincent Boudreau, Arichat and Beverly (Diggdon) Perry Babin of West Arichat. Left behind to mourn along with his parents are his sisters Brittany and Cortland and his brother Corson; maternal grandmother Margaret Diggdon of Arichat and many uncles, aunts and cousins. He was pre-deceased by his paternal grandparents Francis and Catherine Boudreau, and his maternal grandfather Stanley Diggdon and his Auntie Marlene Smith. Visitation will be today from 2-4 and 7-9 in C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home in Arichat. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday at 11am in St Hyacinth's Roman Catholic Church, D'Escousse with Rev. Angus MacDougall officiating. Interment will follow in St. Hyacinth parish cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada or a charity of choice. As a young boy, Brian was very active in sports, playing hockey and baseball with great enthusiasm. As a teenager he enjoyed wheeling and hanging with friends of which he had many. Brian was proud of his family and had many family dinners with lots of good- natured teasing and laughter. As his health deteriorated and his outings were not as numerous, he got pleasured watching sports as he was a proud Montreal Canadian and Toronto Blue Jay fan. Brian had a big heart, lots of spunk and was a friend to many. He will be remembered by all who knew him with a smile and love. The family would like to thank Dr. Laurie MacNeil, Brian's family Doctor who was with him until the end, all of his Therapists, Nurses and everyone who helped Brian in anyway throughout his illness.
