Obituary of Nicholas Edward Duyon
It is with heart felt feelings that we have to announce the sudden passing of Nicholas Edward Duyon of St. Peter's formerly of Arichat that occurred at St. Martha's Regional Hospital in Antigonish on March 26, 2018. Born in Arichat he was a son of the late Thomas and Lillian (Bourque) Duyon. Nicholas is survived by his son, Ricky Saraogean (Heather), Ardoise; special friends Linda and Danny Latimer; brother-in-law and good friend Art MacInnis; sisters, Claire MacInnis, St. Peter's, Pearl Landry, Quebec; nieces and nephews, Ken, Rick, Charlene (Goddaughter), Carlene, Glenn, Natalie, Donna, Debbie, Angele. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Daniel "Donald"; sister Emily Keirstead; brother in law, Rod Keirstead; nephew Keith in infancy. Nicholas was a former employee with the City of Hamilton, ON. as a maintenance worker for several years, and worked for Leo Martell Carpentry in Arichat for many years. He was a 3rd Degree Knight with the Lawrence Kavanaugh Council #4607. Nick was an advid crib player, he enjoyed music, a good dance and lots of laughter. Special thanks go out to all staff at the Richmond Villa where he resided for the last 5 years. Also to all nurses and doctors from the Strait Richmond Hospital and St. Martha's Hospital who helped Nick through his short illness. Visitation will be held in C. H. Boudreau Funeral Home, Arichat on Wednesday evening from 6 - 9pm. Mass of Christian Farewell will be celebrated in Our Lady of Assumption Church, Arichat on Thursday morning at 11am with Rev. Michel Exalant officiating. Burial to be held in Our Lady of Assumption Parish Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations can be made to the Richmond Villa Activity Fund or to Our Lady of Assumption Parish Cemetery Fund. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to C.H.Boudreau Funeral Home in Arichat.
