Obituary of Serge Jean-Marie Pannequin

PANNEQUIN, Serge Jean-Marie - Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on March 29, 2018, at the age of 88 at his residence in Oban. Born in Pelves, France he was a son of the late Lucien and Julie (DeLattre) Pannequin. Serge will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 67 years, Marie (Mimi) Violette (DeMere) Pannequin; daughter Brigitte Dimock (Paul), Lynche River; sons, Phillipe (Donna), Oban, John (Kim), Alberta; grandchildren, Nicholas, Port Hawkesbury, Annick, Sydney, Vanessa, St. Peter's, Naomi, Chapel Island, and Shawn, Alberta and several great grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was predeceasd by his brother Paul and his sister Lucienne. Serge came to Canada from France in 1953 with his wife and daughter Brigitte. He worked on farms and construction in Quebec. He moved to Cape Breton in 1973 to buy his own farm. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service and Committal will take place at a later date. Memorial donations can be made to the S.P.C.A. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to C.H.
