Obituary of Colette Marie Marchand

MARCHAND, Colette Marie 56 of Petit de Grat

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, daughter, aunt and sister Colette Marie Marchand who passed away at her residence in Petit de Grat on March 11, 2019.

Born in Antigonish she was the daughter of Lucille (Jollymore), Arichat and the late Gus Marchand. Colette lived for her grandchildren and lived life to the fullest when she could. She loved camping, gardening and all to do with outdoors. Her generosity was the greatest and sincere. She had a very witty humour and laughed from the heart. One thing about Colette, she was always open and never afraid to speak her mind. She left behind her long-time partner Stephen Sullivan, Petit De Grat; daughter's Santana Marchand (George), Halifax and Becky Sullivan, Janvrins Island; grandchildren Hayden & Ryleigh Anderson, Kelby & Sophy McGrath-Sullivan; brother Ronnie Marchand (Gayle), Petit De Grat; sister Michelle Antle (Leonard), PEI, Shelley Marchand (Ron), Petit De Grat; in-law’s Gladys Fitzpatrick (Sandy), Glenda Stone (Charlie); brother-in-law James Gerroir; nieces and nephews Tristan, Tiffany, Courtney, Caitlin, Sara, Crystal, Danielle, Jessica, Brady; great niece and nephew Naomi and Trent. Besides her father, Colette was predeceased by her son Devin Sullivan; brother in infancy Ronald Marchand and niece Shelby Gerroir. There will be no visitation per request. Funeral mass will take place March 21^st, in Our Lady of Assumption Church, Arichat at 11am with Rev. Michel Exalant presiding. A reception will follow in Our Lady of Assumption Parish Hall, Arichat. Burial will take place at a later date in Star of the Sea Cemetery, Petit de Grat. Memorial donations can be made to St. Anne Centre in Arichat.
