The last time I was in Cape Breton I stopped in for a visit with Aunt Rita. I hadn't seen her in forever, and I didn't expect her to know me. I just thought I would tell her that I was Emily's daughter and have a visit. It turned out that the moment I told her who I was, she immediately asked me how things were out in Kelowna. She asked about my sister and brothers, and asked how my daughter and niece were enjoying being at school in Antigonish. She went on and on – she literally knew everything! I was absolutely shocked. She may have aged in years, but she certainly stayed sharp! What a gift!

She was lovely. And she sure looked lovely that day. My condolences to the family. xoxo
