Obituary of Terrence Alexander Richard

RICHARD, Terrence Alexander, St. Peter’s

It is with sadness, that we announce the passing of Terrence Alexander Richard, 72, of St. Peter’s, that occurred at the Strait Richmond Hospital in Evanston December 4, 2019.  Born in River Bourgeois on July 13, 1947, he was the son of the late Joseph Hubert and Laura Anne (Landry) Richard.

Terry was well known for his love of animals. He was routinely found watching his favourite channels Oasis/Love nature or buying treats for his visiting fur-grandchildren Ruby, Moe and Doris. He had a passion for card games, especially crib.  Some of his happiest times were spent going on Tim’s runs with his close friends (mostly for the doughnuts) or fishing trips to the local canal. He cherished all and any time spent with his children and granddaughter Ava, who he all loved very much. 

The family and I would like to personally thank Richmond County Home Support staff, the palliative care program (Dr Cooper & Kyla MacKeigan) and the nursing staff at the Strait Richmond Hospital. All went above and beyond with the wonderful care my father was given during his stay in Hospital. It will never be forgotten!

Terrence is survived by his daughter Tanya Landry (Larry); son Miles Richard (Erin Burke), grandchild Ava Landry; siblings Albert, Linda, Sylvia, Estelle, Anthony, Carol, Sally, Earl, Donna, Debbie and Allan. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sisters Theresa and Elaine. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or service per request. A private family burial will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home Ltd. in Arichat.
