Obituary of Albert Alfred DeWolfe

DeWolfe, Albert Alfred Age 91 of Arichat. It is with sadness, that we announce the passing of Albert Alfred DeWolfe of Arichat that occurred at the Inverary Manor in Inverness on December 19, 2019. Born on August 30, 1928 in Arichat, he was the son of the late Alfred and Cecile (Landry) DeWolfe. Albert was a strong, dedicated, and hardworking man who was able to sustain two jobs in order to support his family. He worked part-time as a Stevedore at Stora Forest Industries in Point Tupper for over 30 years. In addition, he was a door-to-door fish salesman and travelled across Richmond and Inverness Counties. He worked several 18-20 hour days. Albert enjoyed raising sheep, harvesting vegetables in his garden, and being close to the ocean. He liked camping with his late wife and playing a good game of 45 or Rummy 500. For those who knew him well, he took pleasure in telling or hearing a good joke and occasionally playing a prank. He will be sadly missed and forever in our hearts. Albert is survived by his five daughters, Anna DeWolfe (Keith Aucoin), St. Joseph du Moine; Brenda Bourgoin (Tony), Cole Harbour; Jeannette Hunt (Steve), Cole Harbour; Mary Mahallati (Ali), Ottawa, Ont.; Shirley DeWolfe, Edmonton, Alta; grandchildren, Mahdi, Sheila, Cecilia, Robbie and Abigail; great-grandchildren, Raelyn, Nolan, and Gabriel; sister, Mary Talida (Tilly) Boucher. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Anna Belle, of 53 years, brother, Leon; sisters, Clothilda Doiron, Anna DeCoste, Mildred Boudreau, and a brother and sister in infancy. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 21st, from 7-9 pm at C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home in Arichat. Cremation to follow. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Assumption Church in Arichat on Tuesday, December 24th, at 11 am with Rev. Michel Exhalant presiding. Burial in Our Lady of Assumption Parish Cemetery in Arichat. No flowers please per request of the family.
