DOIRON, Mary Ann, 74 -of Arichat -It is with heavy hearts and sadness that we announce her peaceful passing on February 9, 2020, at her home with her loving family by her side. Born April 30, 1945, to the late Louis and Alma (Gaudet) Boudreau. Mary Ann was the light of her family’s lives. Her caring and loving aura was one that everybody she met was drawn to. There was not a person that left her house without being offered a cup of tea or a piece of her famous pies. She was committed to protecting her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She made sure to light candles and pray for everyone in her life. Her love of God and her devotion to Saint Anne played a major role in her life, finding comfort in knowing that they were watching over her and those that she loved. Her family will have amazing memories of their time with her, whether it was playing TV Bingo, cards or watching Family Feud. Her grandchildren won’t forget the never-ending laughs they shared with her. She did everything she could to put a smile on their faces, imitating Woody the Woodpecker and showing off her dance moves. Her vibrant energy and her contagious smile put her family in the best moods. She was the definition of a family person and they all felt it and loved everything about her. They are so grateful to have had such an amazing role model and a perfect embodiment of unconditional love. Ann is survived by her daughters Joanne Doiron (Marcel), Louisdale, Carolann Alfonso (Jorge), Cape Cod, Mass.; sons Ron (Tracy), Oromocto, N.B., Michael, Glace Bay; grandchildren Andrew, Melanie, Jenna, Matthew, Alexandra; great-grandchildren Lily and Gabriel; sister Louise Paupin (Leon), Truro; brothers Clifford (Paulette), Vincent, both of Cape Auget, Wayne, Philip (Erna), both of Louisburg. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband of 56 years, Joseph Gerald “Jerry” Doiron. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation per request. Funeral Mass to Celebrate the life of Ann will take place in Our Lady of Assumption Church, Arichat on Saturday, February 15th, at 11am with Rev. Michel Exalant presiding. Burial will take place at the Acadiaville Columbarium in West Arichat. Memorial donations can be made to the Strait Richmond Palliative Care Society.
