BOUDREAU, Mary Melda - 81 of Petit de Grat It is with profound sadness, that we announce the passing our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Mary Melda Boudreau which occurred at her home on March 06, 2020. Born in Petit de Grat, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Roseanna (Sampson) Boudreau. Melda was the epitome of a kind-hearted, and loving person who’s smile could warm anyone’s heart and make you feel welcomed. She was a quiet lady who never said too much but always managed to be heard especially during her favourite card game “Dame de Pic” or her other love “Bingo”. Melda was a homemaker who raised 5 children and helped raise her 3 grandchildren whom she loved and was very proud of. She was always “Mom” and “MeMe” and in the past few years she also became known as “Meemaw”. She was also a proud and devoted member of the Catholic faith. In 2019, Melda was able to visit the one place she always wanted to go to, St. Anne de Beu Pre. She was the definition of love and we will be forever grateful that God chose her to be our Mom, Meme and Meemaw. Melda leaves behind to mourn her passing daughter’s, Rosanna Boudreau, Phyllis Samson (Edwin), both of Petit de Grat; sons, Nap (Debbie), Janvrin’s Harbour, Lenny (Georgina), Petit de Grat, Marcel, Edmonton, Alberta; grandchildren Alleshia Helbig (Karsten), Edmonton, Nathan (Amber Boudreau), Upper Sackville, Jenna Boudreau, Petit de Grat; sister, Lena DeCoste (Lenny), Arichat. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Ceasar; brothers Remi Boudreau, Norris Boudreau, Jeff Boudreau; sisters Delima Sampson and Elise Samson, she is also survived by her extended family Albert Sampson (Barbara). A tremendous thank you to Dr Laurie MacNeil who was Mom’s doctor for many years and who always treated her with respect and a smile. To the Home Care Nurses, Dr Cooper and the Palliative Care Team. To the staff of St, Anne Centre, Strait Richmond Hospital, Cape Breton Regional Hospital floor 4A and the Cancer Clinic, thank you for going above and beyond to make our Mom comfortable and happy.
