Condolences
So very sorry for your loss, my sincere condolences to the entire family at this most difficult time. Thinking of you all.
So sorry for your loss. John and Jackie Matthews.
Our deepest sympathy to Eileen and the entire family at this time of sadness. Many stories were shared, by Terry, of their strategy to keep the course in tip top shape and fixing anything mechanical.
Regards,
Rosemary & Christine Burns

Eileen:
Our deepest condolences to you and your family on Gerard's passing.
Although it was this past October, it seems like just yesterday we saw you on the road, stopping and coming up to chat with you. You shared that a spot had just opened up in St. Peter's which would enable Gerard to transfer in from Baddeck the next day. You were bubbling, happier than happy, as it would be far easier to see Gerard more frequently. You were like Cat Stevens, “I can’t keep it in, I gotta let it out!” This also made our day that much brighter too!
I would like to acknowledge how considerate and helpful Gerard and you were to my parents, Jimmie & Helen, while they were down home over many years. Your friendship was very special to them, as it is to us.
Look forward to seeing you this summer Eileen and to reminisce about Gerard.
Warmest regards,
Stephen and Janet MacLachlan

I have very fond memories of Gerard and his brothers Jerome and Vincy. We lived next door in Louisdale.
Vince and I were joined at the hip as kids and I remember big brother Gerrard very clearly.
He was really kind and protective of us little pesky ones.
A good man.

Eileen and family: we were sorry to learn of Gerard’s passing. You were so very dedicated to his well being. Most of my memories of Gerard are from my childhood years when they lived next door at Meda and Danny’s. His beautiful soul is now with his eternal family. My prayers for strength and peace in the days ahead.
To Eileen and Gerard's extended family...….My sincere condolences on the loss of your loved one. I remember being on the same baseball teams with Gerard back in the 1970s and 1980s...….he wasn't the fastest pitcher in the league, but he used his determination and knowledge of how to pitch to batters to get our team out of many tense situations as he always seemed to come through in the clutch...….He also was a very respected teammate who did not complain and wanted whatever was best for the team to help achieve victory.....I am sure those same qualities are why he was no doubt so loved and respected by his friends and family and why he fought so hard to overcome the health issues he was beset with in recent years.....May God help provide all of you with the strength to deal with your grief in you time of sorrow...………….Kevin Patriquin
We were so sorry to hear of Gerard's passing. Gerard is one of our first memories of Dundee, as we got to know him when he was a major part of the Dundee Resort. When we had the privilege to move here, we were reacquainted with him as a big part of the community of Dundee/St. Georges Channel. We remember him as an avid card player, a very knowledgeable woodsman and someone with a lovely dry sense of humor. He will be missed by all. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Eileen, and your family.

My deepest sympathy to everyone. It is heartbreaking to here that another one of our loved ones has passed. Sending Aunt Mary and all my loving cousins a big hug, and to Gerard’s beautiful wife and family, I am so sorry for your loss. You are all in my prayers. I asked Mom to welcome Gerard into heaven and take care of him. They will have lots to take about as Mom was a Toronto Maple Leafs fan and she also loved to dance.
Love and kisses.
