Obituary of Gerald Joseph LeBlanc

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gerald Joseph LeBlanc, that occurred at his residence in St. Anne Centre in Arichat on April 29, 2020 at the age of 75 Years. Born in Arichat his was the son of the late Amedee and Theresa (Goyetche) LeBlanc. Gerald proudly raised is family in “The Cove” in Arichat. He worked hard in the trucking and fishing industry. He passed and will forever rest in Arichat, exactly as he wanted. He will be remembered fondly by his children, Lisa, Arichat, Kevin (Tamara), Beaumont, AB, Connie (Shane), Hope BC, Lori, Port Hawkesbury, Tracy, Louisdale and Nicole, Vancouver, BC; siblings, Pauline Forbes and Jean Boudreau; grandchildren, Travis, Carson, Kaileigh, Makayla, Kyle, Kelton, Gage, Trista, Ivy, Gus, Eden, Keenan, Emersyn, Shanna and great granddaughter Abrielle Sampson. Besides his parents, Gerald was predeceased by his wife of fifty years, Shirley (Dorey); son Stephen; granddaughter Nolan; brothers James and Paul in infancy; sister Catherine Wood; brother in laws Lionel Boudreau, Ken Wood and David Forbes; foster sisters Patsy Habicht (Campbell) and Helen Murray (Campbell). Special thank you to the doctors and staff at Port Hawkesbury Nursing Home and St. Anne Centre where Gerald spent the last several years. Cremation has taken place. A funeral mass will take place on June 27th in Our Lady of Assumption Church in Arichat at 11am with Rev. John DeCoste officiating. Burial to follow in Our Lady of Assumption Parish Cemetery in Arichat. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Anne Centre where he spent his remaining days and his late wife was a tireless employee.
