It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marjorie Eileen Roston on Monday, May 4th at St Annes Centre, Arichat. Surrounded by her Montreal Canadiens memorabilia and her favorite singer’s music playing, Mr. Robert Bouchard. Marjorie Was born June 16th, 1964 to the late Arno and Marjorie (MacKinnon) Roston. For many years, Marjorie was employed by ServiCom, where she was a Sales manager, earning her much respect from her team members, and coworkers, to which she considered her family. Marjorie was an avid Country Music fan, always enjoying watching the Awards shows, and attending any concert she could to enjoy her love of music, a good game of darts, and trying her luck at Bingo. She loved her summers on the beach, with her family, and enjoying life to the fullest, always leaving a smile on everyone’s face. She left an imprint on all of our hearts. Marjorie is survived by her son, Jerry Burke (Alexandra Stainton), Calgary, her daughter Kelsey Burke (Xavier Spencer), Sydney; sister, Inez LeMoine (Jim), Framboise; brothers, Danny(Debbie), Arno (Cathy), both of Sydney, and Neil (Anita), Saskatchewan. Aunt, Marguerite Woodburn (John) of Sydney ; uncle Billy MacKinnon (Shirley), Alberta; many nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews, cousins, extended family and friends, all of whom loved her dearly. Marjorie was predeceased by her special niece and god daughter Kira Huette. The family would like to extend a special thanks to her Arichat family, the staff at St Annes Centre, for treating Marjorie with so much love and compassion the past few years. Special thanks to niece, Jeannie Huette, and to the other members of the Sisterhood, Shelly Rudderham, Sarah Morrison and Evelyn Morrison for always being just a phone call away when needed. Cremation has taken place, and a private graveyard ceremony service will be held at a later date.
