Please share a memory of Devon-Wade to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with deep sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of Joseph Devon-Wade “Dude” Boudreau of West Arichat that occurred in Boudreauville on October 19, 2021, at the age of 32. Born in Antigonish on August 31, 1989, he was the son of Denise Boudreau and stepfather Chuck Dorey, West Arichat. Devon is now at peace in the arms of his beloved Nanny Nanny, and great grandfather Joseph Daniel Boudreau. He truly loved his cats and being surrounded by nature. You would find Devon fishing, hunting or just lending a helping hand at a wharf….. Devon also loved to draw and many friends will remember him through his “dudles” that he would leave behind at parties and gatherings. Doodling is how his nickname Dude came about. Even though there was a large age gap between them, there was nobody that could measure up to his brother Rylee. Devon is survived by his best friend and the love of his life for the past 10 years, Savhanna Sampson, Port Hawkesbury; brothers, Tyler Boudreau (Corinna Vetter), Louisdale, Rylee Dorey-Boudreau, West Arichat; maternal grandmother Eileen Boudreau, Petit de Grat; uncle Joseph “DJ” Boudreau,(Dayna MacDonald) Petit de Grat; great grandfather Joseph “Gappie” Boudreau , Cape Auguet; godchildren, Damien, Natalia, and Gabriel Sampson; step-grandfather Elias Dorey, West Arichat and step-aunt Nadine Dorey, West Arichat. He will also be dearly missed by godparents Trevor Boudreau and Angie LeBlanc, extended family Bobby Martell (Carol) of Samsons Cove; Troy Martell (Rachel) West Arichat; Keith Martell (Shelley) Arichat; Larry MacDonald (Anna) Bedford; Mitchell Sampson, New Glasgow; and many friends from coast to coast. He was predeceased by his great grandmother Mary “nanny nanny” Petrie-Boudreau; great-grandfather Joseph Daniel Boudreau; grandfather, Jerome Burke; uncles, Cory Burke and Stewart Burke; step-grandmother, Cathie Dorey. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held in C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home Ltd., Arichat on Sunday, October 31st, 2021 from 2-4 pm and November 1st, 2021, from 7-9.
