Joanne and family,
It was with great sadness that I heard of the passing of Lucille. She was a intricate and important person in my life and, especially, my childhood. She took care of me and my family for years and she was considered to be a part of us. She was there after school to welcome me home, she took care of me when I was sick and she often berated me for not picking up my clothes (she did not have a problem telling me what she thought)! Lucille took great care of our Pépé and we cannot thank her enough for her attention, her delicious lasagna (which we still make), and for her love. I am sending you all lots of love and healing. She loved her family and spoke with pride of you all - especially Julie, Shelley and Renée.
And yes, I am one of the lucky owners of one of Lucille's afghans. It has followed me in all of my many moves.
