Obituary of Paul William Samson

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Paul William Samson, of St. Peter’s, formerly of Louisdale, who passed away at his residence in the Richmond Villa, St. Peter’s, on January 7, 2022, at the age of 76. Born in Louisdale on July 9, 1945, he was the son of the late Felix and Nora (Poirier) Samson. Paul was the pillar of the community in Louisdale. Everyone grew up in taking care of him in one way or the other. He loved playing bingo and was a former member of the Louisdale Lions Club and, the Fleur de Lis New Horizons club in Louisdale. He was well known to help with fundraising by selling tickets and helping all kinds of causes. You would be in trouble if you were critical of his brother Alfred. He is survived by his brother, Alfred “Al” Samson, Lachine, Quebec; sister, Jean Marie Samson, St. Peter’s; niece Karen Samson, nephew, Kevin Samson; He is also survived by his many extended family and friends. Besides his parents, Paul was predeceased by his sisters, Mary Rose and Irene Marie; brother George in infancy; sis-in-law, Eleanor Samson. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation per request. Funeral Mass to Celebrate the Life of Paul will be held at St. Louis Church in Louisdale on July 26th, 2022 at 11:00 am with Rev. Duncan MacIsaac officiating. Burial to follow in St. Louis Parish Cemetery, Louisdale. Memorial donations can be made to the ROC Society in Port Hawkesbury. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to C.H.
