Obituary of Marie Eunice Boudreau

Please share a memory of Marie Eunice to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with utterly shattered hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister. Aunt and friend after a courageous battle with cancer which she fought valiantly without complaining and still putting her family first. Born May 24, 1952, in Petit de Grat, she was the only daughter of the late Sylvester Boudreau and Evangeline LeBlanc. She was predeceased by her brothers, Ceasar, Lionel and Ludger; sisters in law Melda and Sheila; niece Charmaine and great nephew Logan. She will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 50 years Gerard; daughter, Charmaine (Paul), Arichat; grandsons, Dawson (Lexie), Halifax, Colton, and Jaxton, both of Arichat; her big brother who she adored Adrian (Geraldine), Louisdale; many nieces and nephews who she loved so much. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Jean Boudreau and Alice Boudreau. My mom was known for her love of family, her cooking, her hospitable nature and her role as “Hortense” who put smiles on so many faces over the years. She could make anyone laugh even on their darkest days. Her grandsons were her life and she spoke of them with pride. The family would like to thank Dr. McCormick, Dr. Cooper and the Palliative Care Team, Dr. DeRoche, Dr. Hanspal, Dr. Tehrani and all the wonderful nurses who made her journey an easier one. Cremation has taken place. A funeral mass will be celebrated on May 24th in St. Joseph's Church, Petit de Grat at 11am with Rev. John DeCoste officiating. The void that mom left when she left this world is one that will never be filled. She will continue to live on in our hearts and in our many wonderful memories. Mom’s famous words were “Leave that in God’s hands” and we know that she is now safe in the arms of God. "In these moments of heartbreaking grief, I remember the only reason we have an empty space is because we were blessed with someone who loved us so beautifully it occupied an entire part of our souls"
