Bourque, Margaret (Peggy) Helen – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of Margaret (Peggy) Bourque on January 20, 2022, at her lifelong home in Port Royal, NS, surrounded by her family. Born on September 2, 1938, Peggy was the youngest of four daughters born to Anthony (Tony) and Irene (Doiron) LeBlanc. Peggy provided unconditional kindness, love and support through her life’s work as beloved wife, mother, and ‘best grandma ever’. Peggy was also a skilled artist and musician. She could make a piano sing in her unique style (on the sharps and flats) and could bring a kitchen party to life with the joy that filled her when she played. In her home, Peggy was always ready with a warm welcome and food to share, finding comfort and peace in the love of her family and friends. Peggy is survived by son, Larry (Jennifer Ferguson) and grandchildren Darby Keating (Corson Fougere) and great-granddaughter Laine, Cole Keating, and Candice Green; son Anthony Keating; daughter Michelle Theriault (Darin LeBlanc) and grandchildren Marielle Theriault and Micheline Theriault; daughter Nicole Bourque (Jason Boudreau) and grandchildren Christian Bourque and Aidan Boudreau; sister, Doris Bonin; and many nieces and nephews. Peggy was predeceased by her parents, Tony and Irene LeBlanc; husbands, James Keating and Peter Bourque; sisters, Marie LeBlanc and Corrine Halfpenny; and son in law Darren Theriault. The family would like to thank the Strait Richmond Hospital Palliative Care, Continuing Care, and the VON team for their amazing care and support. Cremation has already taken place. There will be no visitation per request. Burial will take place on July 2nd, 2022 at 10am in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, West Arichat with Rev. John DeCoste presiding.
