We are so very saddened to hear of Harold’s passing and wish to send our sincere sympathies to Phyillis and his entire family. We meet back in the 60 s when my folks rented a home from him here in PortHawkesbury, and with in minutes, we all became great friends. And of course Russ knew him from the mill. Every time we’d bump into each other, he was quick to ask about us, and then of course keep us updated on the family, his eyes would just sparkle when he spoke of the children, and grandkids. He was so kind, the true meaning of Gentleman, we will certainly miss those brief but happy meetings. Carolyn and Russell Langley. RIP Harold,
Condolences to Phyllis, Michelle, Lisa and Leanne. I was very sad to hear of Harold's passing. You will all carry him in your hearts. Your obituary is a testimony to that. I haven't seen Harold or any of you, for that matter for years. But as I read the obituary, the truth, goodness, heart and talent of Harold was again fresh in my mind. Hugs to you all. I am so sorry to hear of Your Dad’s passing. He was such a dear man. My mother was a great friend of your Grandma Poan and she used to come to River Bourgeois to visit for a week at a time when I was young. She made the best cinnamon rolls and fudge! Your Dad would always bring her over and come to take her back home to Poulamon. He was always so pleasant and friendly. As a young child, I remember seeing your Mom and Dad at your Grandmother’s when they were newly married They were such a handsome couple. My cousin and I ran into both of them about 4 years ago and I hadn’t seen them for years and years. We had a very pleasant chat. I never met any of you girls and it is so nice to see your photos with their grandson. My sincere sympathy to you all.
