It is with deep sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of Marie Claudette Barnes of Arichat, that occurred at the Strait Richmond Hospital in Evanston on June 29, 2022.
Born in Arichat, on December 11, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Lillian (Vigneau) Marchand.
Claudette was a retired Registered Nurse, working in Continuing Care.
She will be sadly missed by her daughter Holly Barnes (Jason Wilson), and son, Robin Barnes; brother Marcel Marchand (Nancy), and sister Lorrie Boss (Alan.)
Besides her parents, Claudette was predeceased by her brother-in-law, Raymond Forgeron.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held in C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home Ltd., Arichat from 2-4 & 7-9 pm on Wednesday July 6th. Funeral Mass to Celebrate the Life of Claudette will be held in Our Lady of Assumption Church, Arichat on Thursday July 7th at 11am. Burial to follow in Our Lady of Assumption Parish Cemetery.
Memorial donations can be made to the Strait Richmond Hospital Foundation or to the Strait Richmond Palliative Care Society.
