Obituary of Harold Joseph Landry

It is with sadness that we have to announce the passing of Harold Joseph Landry, of Kitchener, Ontario, formerly of Louisdale who died peacefully at St. Martha's Regional Hospital in Antigonish on July 13, 2022 with his family by his side. Born April 4, 1948 in Louisdale, he was the son of the late James and Margaret (Sampson) Landry. Harold is survived by his loving wife, Maria (Dingwall), Landry; of 53 years; daughters, Andrea Landry (Dale Bryans), and Jennifer Landry; son, Eddie Landry (Angie Cartini); grandchildren, Logan, Ethan, Liam, Frankie, and Callen; special nephews, Lynn (Helen), Roy (Michelle), Tony (Michele), Brian (Lill), and Kenny (Lorna); sister-in-law, Pauline Landry. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Doris Steinburg (Noel), and Ruth Boudreau (Alec); and brother, Rudolph Landry. Funeral Mass to Celebrate the Life of Harold will be held, Thursday, July 21, 2022 at 10 AM in St. Louis Church, Louisdale. Burial at a later date. A reception will be held following the mass in St. Louis Parish Hall, Louisdale. Memorial donations can be made to the Strait Richmond Hospital Dialysis Unit, or to St. Louis Parish Heating Fund. The family would like to extend a special Thank You to the ER Team and also to the ICU Team at St. Martha's Regional Hospital for the special care given to Harold, and also to the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Dialysis Unit, in Sydney.
