Obituary of Joseph Albert Thomas Marchand

MARCHAND, Joseph Albert Thomas, Sampson’s Cove Joseph Albert Thomas Marchand, Sampson’s Cove, passed away peacefully in Sampson’s Cove on August 24, 2022, at age 75. Born December 4th, 1946 in Arichat, he was the son of the late Joseph Harry Thomas and Justine Mary (Samson) Marchand. Tommy wore many hats, (Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Friend) with unconditional love and respect. Our family will always treasure the precious time we have spent with him. We enjoyed sharing his love with everyone who took the time to let him enrich their lives. Sadly, he will be missed always by his loving wife Mary Edna (Samson) Marchand of 55 years, daughter Sharon Konwisarz (Alex); son Joseph Rodney Marchand (Cathy), Cape Auget; grandchildren Tess Konwisarz, Halifax, and Nathan Konwisarz, Caledon, ON; sister Mary Louise Samson, Acton, ON. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Nectaire, and Danny; and sister Theresa Anne Marchand. Cremation has taken place. A private reception will be held at 22 Sampson’s Cove Rd on Thursday, September 1st, 2022 between 2 pm and 4 pm. Burial will take place in the Star of the Sea Cemetery in Petit de Grat at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to CH. Boudreau Funeral Home Ltd, Arichat.
