BOUDREAU, John Joseph “Johnny”, 100 of Arichat, passed away peacefully at his residence in St. Anne Nursing Home Centre in Arichat on September 8th, 2022. Born August 22, 1922, he was the son of the late Victor and Yvonne Maude (Gaudet) Boudreau. Dad was a devote Catholic. He loved his church and would visit every day to say his rosary. His family meant the world to him. Dad was a gentle, kind and quiet man who loved company, but also loved his alone time. He also liked to play the accordian and was very good at it.

Johnny was the last surviving member of his family. He will be deeply missed by his daughters Rhonda (William) Bowen, Rocky Bay, Michelle Boudreau, Arichat, Roseanne (Norman) Bowen, Shediac Cape, N.B., Karen (Jim) Jewers, Oromocto, N.B.; son Danny (Marlene), Dartmouth; grandchildren Tressa (Marcel), Stewart, Tyler (Terri), Lance (Jamie), Delores (Andrew), Amy, Daniel, Jason, Nathan, Haley (Jordan) and 13 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Delores Rosalie; son David “Gum Boots”, son in infancy; sisters Lily Boudreau, Shirley Jones, Charlotte Ann George, Clemence Young; brothers Alexander and Alphonse. Cremation has taken place No visitation per request. A Funeral Mass to celebrate the life of Johnny will be held September 13th, 2022 in Our Lady of Assumption Church, Arichat at 11 am, with Rev. John DeCoste officiating. Burial to follow in Our Lady of Assumption Parish Cemetery, Arichat. We would like to thank everyone who took very good care of Dad at Strait Richmond Hospital, Port Hawkesbury Nursing Home and St. Anne’s Nursing Home, also to Dr. Laurie MacNeil for his years of service to Dad.
