Obituary of Marie Annette Jollymore

Please share a memory of Marie Annette to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
On this 30th day of October 2022, we, the Jollymore family of Boudreauville, Richmond County, share the passing of our beautiful and beloved matriarch, Marie (Annette) into the kingdom of our Lord. The last of seven, born the 1st day of summer June 21, 1938, to Joe and Berthina (Thibeau) Marchand of Cap Auget, Annette graced us all with her warm infectious smile, as bright as the summer sun. She gleamed at the sight of her family, children, and many friends and good neighbors. She thrived on company, conversations, and a strong cup of tea. As she so deserved, Mom was surrounded by the love of her entire family until her transition to heaven. As she rejoins her beloved husband Alfred and her son Kenneth, she will be fondly remembered and missed by Elaine (Donnie), Herman, Wayne, Harvey, Neil (Judy), Joey (Stephanie), and their respective families. Annette poured her heart and soul into her family and loved her grandchildren Jamie, Cynthia, Ashley, Kendall, Kyle, Liam, Nolan, Meghan, Katelynn, and Emily dearly. She was always proud of them and loved their company. More recently, she was blessed with great-grandchildren Leola, Eva, Hailee, Grayson, Pierce, and Hunter. She cooked many delightful meals for her family, friends, and even fishermen working away from home in need of a hot meal. Annette was loved by all who knew her even for just a moment. Her compassion, kindness, and devotion are virtues she would expect to be carried on by her family. The family was everything to Mom, for, with the presence of family, one could never be poor. She taught us to be kind, to be together as a family, and that there was good in everyone you met. Nobody is undeserving of love, she believed, as she knew all too well the pain of feeling alone after the displacement brought about by the death of her own mother at the young age of 15. Mom was always the type to care for everyone, and in her last few years, we were fortunate enough to return the favour. We would be remiss without mentioning the special love and care provided by Harvey at home in her final years, and also the dignity and pampering from Stephanie in her home in Antigonish. Mom, you've done it all, for us, for anyone who's ever needed you. You've brightened this world with your positive attitude and beautiful smile. You've taught us to be resilient in a world that isn't always easy. We've learned so much from you and we'll never forget you. You smiled from your first breath to the very last...an inspiration for us all. A celebration to honour our beloved mother will be held at Eglise St Joseph in Petit de Grat on Friday afternoon, November 4th, at 3 pm. Burial with her family at the Star of the Sea Cemetery, Petit de Grat. A Reception will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 150, Arichat following the committal. Donations can consist of as little as a smile or hand for someone that needs it, the Children’s Wish Foundation, Veteran’s Comfort Fund, or a charity of your choice that helps those in need. A big thank you to VON and the amazing staff at St Martha’s Hospital for the professional and dignified care. Your compassion will not be forgotten. Tributes, words of comfort, and memories of Annette may be shared with the family at www.chboudreau.com Funeral arrangements are entrusted to C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home Ltd., Arichat.
