CLANNON, Serena Marie, St. Peter’s, passed away at the Richmond Villa, St. Peter’s, on December 1, 2022, at the age of 82 years. Born February 4, 1940, in Lower L’Ardoise, she was the daughter of the late John Elias and Margaret (Sampson) Clannon. Serena was a former employee of the Heritage House in Port Hood for approximately 13 years. Cleaning was her specialty. There was never any dust in the corners when she was done cleaning, a job that she truly enjoyed doing. She loved the outdoors, especially working in her flower beds. One of her dislikes was cooking. She is survived by her loving companion of 37 years, Francis Joseph MacDonnell, St. Peter’s; stepbrother John Kelly Clannon (Nancy), Lower L’Ardoise; sisters Elizabeth Stone, St. Peter’s, and Eva Robertson (Ernest), Louisdale. Serena is also survived by her aunt Eva Sampson, L’Ardoise. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her stepmother Margaret Stone. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral per request. A graveside service will be held in the Holy Guardian Angel Cemetery in L’Ardoise on Thursday, December 8, 2022, at 12 pm officiated by Rev. John Yake. The family will like to extend a special thank you to the Doctors, Nurses, and Staff at the Richmond Villa, St. Peter’s for the loving care given to Serena while she was in their care. Memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society (NS). Funeral arrangements are entrusted to C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home Ltd., Arichat.
