TOUESNARD, Allan Cletus, Antigonish/River Bourgeois It is with great sadness, that we announce the passing of Allan Cletus Touesnard of River Bourgeois that occurred at St. Martha’s Regional Hospital in Antigonish on February 28, 2023, at the age of 94 years. Born November 8, 1928, in River Bourgeois, he was the son of the late Alain and Annie (Burke) Touesnard. If you wanted something fixed you brought it to Cletus. He owned and operated two different Auto Service Stations, a chain saw sales and repair shop, sold and repaired appliances. He joined the “mill”, Stora in 1966 in its maintenance department retiring in 1993. He had great memories of working there and shared many stories, sometimes tall ones of the jobs and people he worked with. He impressed an incredibly strong work ethic on his children; he told them if “it could be built…. it could be taken apart and fixed”. He worked long hours in his chain saw shop and when asked why he did he always said the people who came to him were only trying to feed their family. Cletus will be dearly missed by his sons Robert (Rita), Brantford, ON, Kevin (Madonna), Roger (Sharon), both of Antigonish, Peter (Mary), Park City, UT. Brother Edward (Florence) Touesnard, River Bourgeois; sister Anne (Leo) King, Oakville, ON; sisters-in-law; Ann Touesnard River Bourgeois, Isabel Campbell ON, and brothers-in-law Archie, Gerard, ON, Bill and Pat Cameron. Grandchildren: Dennis, Nicole, Mitchell, Michelynn, Tiffany, Christopher, Ethan, Ryan, Ashley, and Erin. Great grandchildren: Josée, Sophia, Logan, Josée, Gavin, Jelynne, Ivy, Charlotte, Poppy, Oliver, Eleanor, Reese, and Drew. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife Mary Margaret (Cameron) Touesnard; daughter Renee Touesnard; brother Alfred Touesnard; sisters, Mary Burke, and Helen Sampson; brothers-in-law Martin and Alex Cameron and Angus Campbell.
