With heavy hearts we regret to announce the death of Joseph James Mombourquette that passed away peacefully at the Strait Richmond Hospital in Evanston on November 14th, 2023. Born on April 23th, 1954, he was the son of the late George and Mae (Ferguson) Mombourquette.

Joseph was a very kind, caring and generous person, and loved animals. If he had his way he’d take in every stray cat or dog that came into his yard.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers Willard and Wayne.

Joseph is survived by his partner Bernadette Sampson; brothers John (Nancy) Allister, Graham (

Colleen), Ricky (Lottie), Allan (Cindy), Ronnie (Krista); sisters Linda, Rose (Teddy), Anita (Wilfred), Krista (Louie) and Heather (Kelvin). He is also survived by his extended family Sheldon, Joey, Krista Lynn Sampson; several nieces and nephew and good friends (Loretta Otoole). Cremation has taken place. Burial will take place at a later date. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home Ltd. In Arichat.
