Obituary of Joseph Henry Martell

MARTELL, Joseph Henry, Louisdale We are heartbroken to announce the death of our father, Joseph Henry Martell who passed away peacefully at the age of 87, surrounded by his son Gerard (Madelyn), and daughter Wanda on February 4, 2024, at St. Martha’s Regional Hospital in Antigonish. His pride and joy were his grandchildren Marisa (Robert), Jeremy (Katie), Jared (Allison), and his great-grandchildren Freddie. and Nellie. Dad enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing cards with his friends. He worked hard as a cement finisher (Labourer) in his lifetime. He enjoyed time spent with Nellie, and Freddie. He was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Mina (MacPhee) Martell; his loving wife, Muriel, son-in-law, Freddie, and sisters Ella, and Viola. As per Joe’s request, there will be no visitation. Memorial Service will be held in C. H. Boudreau Funeral Home in Arichat on Monday, February 12th at 1:00 pm. Burial for Dad will be held at a later date. In place of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Palliative Care Society in his honour. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home Ltd., Arichat.
