Obituary of Elaine Marko

Elaine Marko Born July 25, 1931, died June 14, 2024 Elaine Marko, age 92, died peacefully with family, at her home at St Anne Centre, Arichat. Born in Petit de Grat, she was the daughter of Willard and Victoria (Samson) David. Elaine left home at a young age and had various jobs, then moved to Oshawa Ontario where she worked for General Motors for 32 years. Upon her retirement, Elaine moved back home to look after her aging Mother and disabled sister, Gertrude. Appearances and being well-dressed was always important to her and she enjoyed taking part in fashion shows where she made many friends. She also enjoyed working in her flower gardens and was very talented in various crafts. She is survived by her brothers; Donald, and many nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by her adopted sister; Brenda, whom she was very close to. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers; Anthony, Amos and Arthur. Sisters; Gladys, Isabel, Edith, and Gertrude. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral mass per request. Private family burial at the Star of the Sea cemetery in Petit de Grat. Memorial donations in Elaine’s memory may be made to St Anne’s Auxiliary or a charity of one’s choice. Arrangements are entrusted to C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home, Arichat.
