I am so sorry I was unable to attend the visitation or funeral service for Uncle Charles this weekend. Instead, I sent my love to Aunt Rita and family through my sister Monica until I can get to Cape Breton and visit myself. Uncle Charles was a role model in our family,a devoted and faithful husband and father. When I took my mom Lil to Arichat this past August, we went to visit Aunt Rita and Uncle Charles and the first thing he said when I leaned down to speak to him was how good looking I was! He still had spark and spunk! I am so pleased that I was able to get Mom there to visit as she doesn't travel far these days. And I got to say goodbye with such a happy and fond memory of him, which I will cherish! It was a joy to see him celebrate his 100th with you all at Guy's place as well! Please take good care of Aunt Rita and tell her I will visit when we get to Cape Breton in the coming months when the driving is good. Much love and to you all! While i was visiting the nursing home last month, I went to talk to him, first question to me was Did you move home yet ? next he told me, I will be 100 years old soon. I was amazed he recognized me.
