Obituary of Charles James Landry

It is with heavy hearts that we the family have to announce the death of Charles James Landry, at the age of 100 years, that occurred at his residence at St. Anne Centre in Arichat on December 28, 2017. Born in Petit de Grat, he was the son of the late Leo and Minnie (Boudreau) Landry. Charles was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 150 in Arichat. He is survived by his loving wife Mary Rita (Samson) Landry of 74 years; daughters, Ann Acton (Richard), New Glasgow, Claudette Carmichael (Frank), Fall River; sons, Armand (Margaret Ann), Arichat, Adrian (Janet), Hammonds Plains, Thomas, Arichat, Guy (Jennie), Petit de Grat; grandchildren, Laurie, Pamela, Garron, Jason, Nathan, Matthew, Jeffrey, Noah, Logan, Brittany, Jessica, Evie, Heidi; great grandchildren, Courtney, Chloe, Renee, Michelle, Austin, Avah, Baily, Jaxson, Hudson, Xavier, Autumn; brother, Alcide (Nora), Petit de Grat. Besides his parents Charles was predeceased by his son, Luke; daughter Donna; sisters, Gladys Thibeau, Edna Sampson; brothers, Martin, Lenus, Arthur, Vincent, Edward, Willie; daughter in law Nora Landry. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Friday, January 5, 2018 from 2-4 & 7-9 in C. H. Boudreau Funeral Home Arichat. Funeral Mass will take be held Saturday morning January 6, 2018 at 11:00am in St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Petit de Grat with Rev. Michel Exalant officiating. Burial in the Star of the Sea Cemetery, Petit de Grat, at a later date. A reception will be held following the Funeral Mass at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 150 in Arichat. Family flowers only please. Memorial donations can be made to the Veteran's Comfort Fund, St. Anne Centre Activity Fund, Star of the Sea Cemetery Fund or to the charity of one's choice.
