Obituary of Marie Bernadette Clannon

Clannon, Marie Bernadette, 92, Little Anse, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2012 at the Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston. Born in Little Anse, she was the daughter of the late Freddie and Josephine (Boudreau) Samson. She is survived by her daughters, Sylvia (Newman) Skinner, Arichat, Cynthia (Glen) Samson, D'Escousse; son, Victor (Annette), Little Anse; 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; sisters, Lorraine Forster, Halifax, Delima Weissant, Petit De Grat, Isabel (Betty) Tandy, Dartmouth and Dorothy Morrison, Little Anse; brother, Rudolph (Virginia) Louisdale. She was predeceased by her husband, Hughie Thomas; sister Alma Boudreau; brothers, Henry, Oswald, William, Lawrence and George. Bernadette was also predeceased by her companion Fred Strickland. Visitation will be held in C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home, 633 Veteran's Memorial Drive, Arichat on Sunday, August 12th from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass for Bernadette will be held in St. Joseph's Church in Petit De Grat on Monday, August 13th at 2pm with Rev. Andrew Gillis officiating. Burial will take place in the Star of the Sea Cemetery, Petit De Grat. Memorial donations may be made to St. Anne Community & Nursing Care Centre, Star of the Sea Cemetery Fund or to the charity of one's choice.
