To Phonso's wonderful and kind extended family, My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. Please accept my apologies for not being able to attend the visitation and memorial service for Phonso. I have fond memories of Phonso and Judy. During my most impressionable years, beginning in 1973, I was welcomed as a border by phonso and judy. I thanked God for their love and kindness during a time that I needed it most. The early 1970's was a very difficult time for me, not knowing where my future would take me or by what means that I would further my education in order to lead a productive and sustainable life. I very much appreciated Judy and Phonso's kind heart, by welcoming me into their loving and stable home setting. Whenever I approached them for advise they were always so very supportive and understanding. Phonso and Judy were instrumental in the walk to where I have ended up today, by providing me with leadership and strength to continue on my path through life. During the two years that I lived with Judy and Phonso, never did I witness conflict or aggression in their marriage. To me they had the perfect relationship by which they gave meaning during a time that I had such uncertainty in my life. I remember Phonso to be loving, hard working, committed and respectful, a wonderful example as a father figure. Phonso and Judy made me feel like there was a happy future that lay ahead in the distance. I will never forget the positive impact they have had on my life. I pray that our loving God keep them happy and safe as they have made me feel during a time of such uncertainty. My our sweet Lord of great compassion wrap his loving arms around both Phonso and Judy to keep them safe. Please accept my sympathy during your time of sorrow. Kindest regards, Clifton.
