Obituary of Alphonse Joseph Martell

Martell, Alphonse Joseph 83, Little Anse, Richmond County passed away peacefully on August 29, 2012 at the Strait Richmond Hospital in Evanston. Born in Little Anse, he was the son of the late Willie and Obeline (Samson) Martell. He is survived by his daughters, Krista Mano (Dan), Cornwall, Ont., Joy Martel (William) Little Anse, Rebecca Martel (Joey), Cornwall, Ont.; sons, Shaun (Tina), Cornwall, Ont., John, Sydney, Walter (Kelly) London, Ont.; grandchildren, Matthew, Zachary, Dean, Douglas, Jaden and Mason; step-grandchildren, Sarah, Meagan, Michael and Katie; sisters, Rita Brennan and Mary Belle Martell both of Little Anse. Phonso will be sadly missed by his good friend Lena Samson and her family, Little Anse. He was predeceased by his wife, Judith Ann (Miller); sisters Eva and Mary; brothers, Lawrence, Charlie and Alphonse in infancy. Visitation will be held in C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home, 633 Veteran's Memorial Drive, Arichat on Saturday, September 1, 2012 from 1 - 4 p.m. Memorial Service will take place in St. Joseph's Church, Petit de Grat, on Sunday, September 2, 2012 at 2 p.m., with Rev. Angus MacDougall officiating. Burial will take place at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation (NS) or to the charity of one's choice.
