It is with great sympathy that I heard of the passing of your mother. She was a great woman and a very comforting nurse when I had the occasion to be in the former Arichat hospital. It is a credit to her character how much you all loved her. I regret that she didn't have more time as she was such an active person. Her strength lives on in all of you. We will miss you Aunt Edith... The last time I saw you, it was such a thrill, it had been too long. It almost felt like my Mom, your Sister Betty, was there in a tiny little bit of spirit. An emotional moment I'll never forget. It wasn't a long visit, we had breakfast and the sound of the surf brought back a lot of childhood memories. You gave us a beautiful quilt called Josephs Coat, it has been on our bed every night since we got it keeping us warm and cosy. You may not be with us anymore but the warmth of your love still is and will be keeping us cosy for a long time to come. You were a great person and will missed be many.

Even though I only met her a handful of times over the years I felt she was a very special soul and thought very highly of her.
