Obituary of Edith Mary Hearn

Please share a memory of Edith to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Hearn, Edith Mary (Mother) " 84, Rocky Bay. Our hearts are heavy as we announce the sudden passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother on November 13, 2007 in the Strait Richmond Hospital in Evanston. Born in Antigonish, she was the daughter of the late William John and Minnie Alice (Livingstone) Fraser. Edith was a lady who didn't know how to sit still. From helping to build her dream home at the age of 80, to starting the Rocky Bay Quilter's Club at the age of 82, she was a woman of many strengths and talents. She was a dedicated nurse for almost 30 years. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by daughters, Maria Mury (Francis), Gail Hearn, Alice Fraser (Michael), Ellen Hall; sons, Paul, Leo, Michael (Michelle); 13 grandchildren, Mandy, Kim, Jonathan, Caroline, Michael, Andrea, Nicole, Ryan, Alex, Carolynn, Shawn, Benjamin, Olivia and great-grand-daughter Ella; as well as her sister-n-law Hazel Fraser. She was predeceased by her husband of 38 years, Lawrence Alexander "Alex" Hearn; brothers, Doug, Sam, Jim; sisters, Betty and Isabel. Mom will be missed by many close friends and relatives, she was an inspiration, and will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved her. Farewell "Chuckie-Doo"
