Obituary of Bernadette Mary Landry

LANDRY, BERNADETTE MARY - 87, passed away peacefully at the Strait Richmond Hospital in Evanston on February 10, 2013 with her loving family by her side. Born in Louisdale, she was a daughter of the late Mary (Sampson) and Daniel D. Marchand. Bernadette is survived by her daughter Bernice (Roy) Jeffrey with whom she resided, Louisdale; sons, Gerald (Judy), Louisdale, Delore (Helen), Sackville and Roy (Donna), Breadaldane, PEI; grandchildren, Terra, April, Bryan, Jean-Claude, Vanessa, Sheldon, Amy, Jennifer and Jason; great grandchildren, Joshua, Caleigh, Blake, Cole, Bradon, Marika, Elijah, Jonah, Wren, Marley Rose, Tucker and Edie; sister, Jeanette Samson, Sackville. She was predeceased by her husband, Delore Landry; siblings, Eileen, Joseph, Theophile, Jeanette, Eugene, Marie, Daniel, and Eugene; brother in law, Paul Samson and nephew, Douglas Samson. Mom was a chartered member of the C.W.L., a member of the Lioness and Lions Club. She worked for many years in the food industry and rolled many delicious pizzas. A heartfelt thank you goes out to the Home Care Services who provided mom with exceptional care. They brought her so much joy and laughter. We will never forget you! Thank you also to the Strait Richmond Hospital staff for the care given to mom her last few days. Visitation will be held in the Glen Samson Room in Louisdale on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9. Funeral Mass will be held Friday morning at 11 in St Louis Church, Louisdale with Rev. Angus MacDougall officiating. Burial will take place in St Louis Parish Cemetery, Louisdale, at a later date. Memorial donations can be made to the Strait Richmond Hospital Palliative Care Society or to the charity of choice. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home in Arichat.
