Condolences
Uncle Willard was my Great Uncle. My grandfather, his brother, was Alexander Fougere, whom I will always adore. My Mom is Margaret "Tena" Fougere Adams. When Uncle Willard, Uncle Cliff, and Pepae (Alex) would all get together, you could hear them laughing 3 blocks away - at least! And how they loved playing cribbage and telling jokes. There is so much love in the Fougere family that my Grandfather introduced me to that will keep me warm for a lifetime. Kiss my Pepae, dear Uncle Willard, and my Nana too! I miss you all! The Heavens are ringing with laughter and joy. As my Grandfater, Alex, would tell me, "Don't you drop one tear sweetheart when I go......I have had a wonderful life". So did Uncle Willard.
Dear Aunt Naomi, I am Tena (Fougere) Adams daughter. I am one of the twins, Louise. I was saddened to hear about Uncle Willard. I remember when you all were in Charleston to visit Nana & Papae and how much fun we had. Papae and Uncle Willard always made us laugh, and how we loved being around them. I treasure all those memories. You are in my thoughts and prayers, love Louise

It is with great sadness that I hear about this great loss. I recall as a child his many visits to our house (Olive LeBlanc's) on Wednesday to delivery our grocery orders. On a few occasions I had the pleasure of getting to tag-a-long with him as he did his daily chores. I have always considered those times to be some of the greatest memories in my life. He will always be remembered, and sadly missed. Our world has lost a great individual this week but I am sure he will make the hereafter an even better place with his presence. Kindest regards, Keith LeBlanc

Dear Naomi I extend my heartfelt condolences to you & to your extended family. Willard was a friend of long standing I have fond memories of him as far back as the 40`s. He had many many friends, all over Cape Breton, and beyond, was always jovial, and very pleased to see old acquaintances. He will be very much missed by us all. The Pertus family, grand parents, aunts and uncles,my parents,my sister and myself all loved Willard. His good friend,Francis, I am certain will be shaken by this event The positive side of this event is a reflection of the foregoing, and his long and happy life, fifty years of which he had the good fortune to share with the woman he loved very much. Naomi, this is surely difficult for you, but please remember that your countless mutual friends will always be with you and pray that you might accept this event. This should not be a sad occasion, but rather an occasion to rejoice the fact that he had such a long and happy life, with so many friends. Louis Pertus
